Cannula v. Needle for Male Enhancement - CHICAGO MALE ENHANCEMENT

A question that we often get from patients is, "how do you inject my penis with filler?" At Chicago Male Enhancement, we use a cannula to inject filler into the penis. A cannula is like a needle but it has a blunt tip instead of sharp one like a needle. This helps reduce trauma that may happen when using a needle, such as bypassing blood vessels.

Another problem that can arise from using a needle is that you do not have the same control that you would have a cannula. An precise technique and knowledge of the anatomy is the mark of an expert injector, such as Jonathon RN. We do often get patients who seek to have filler dissolved because the patient's previous injector did not get that filler placed in correct. Luckily, using fillers can be easily reversed, unlike having an implant put in or having a surgical procedure such as fat transfers.

So remember, when seeking penis enlargement by non surgical means, always look for someone who is an expert in injecting and a complete understanding of the anatomy of the penis.

TRANSCRIPT FROM THE VIDEO:

Dr. Shah:

During that procedure. One of the other things kind of making this comfortable it's the difference between using a needle and a cannula? Can you explain, like what a cannula is versus a needle for our viewers?

Jonathon:

Yeah, absolutely. So cannula is going to be almost like a needle, but instead of it being pointy, it's actually a blunt needle. So it's going to bypass any vessels and cause less trauma internally while a needle, which sometimes we do have to use through the procedure. When we're injecting along the Corona, which is the head of the penis that needs to be done with a needle, it cannot be done with a cannula. Just because of the, you know, the tenderness of that, that part.

Dr. Shah:

Okay. Have you ever reversed a patient? They've come in and said, you know what? I don't like it get rid of all my filler down there.

Jonathon:

I have reversed a patient with filler, from another physician that they didn't give them proper instructions, which is the most important is to massage after.

Dr. Shah:

Do you think they use the needle?

Jonathon:

They did use a needle.

Dr. Shah:

I think that's that plane that we're thinking about unless you have the right cannula and the right technique. This is really important. Another bold point. So first of all, don't inject yourself with something with filler or something. You're going to screw it up and you're gonna look horrible. And then don't do it with someone who really doesn't do a lot of filler down there because unless you're in that perfect tissue plane, which is it's actually right below the skin, it's like in that Scarpa dartos area. Unless you feel that second pop with the right Cannula, then you actually have to use the right type of cannula to get in that smooth plane to kind of work there. Um and so if you're in that area, you're going to have a smooth you know, much more likely to have a nice smooth result versus with the needle. I don't think it's possible. Someone said gets 10 syringes inject me with filler there.

Jonathon:

I wouldn't do it with a needle. No way.

Dr. Shah:

It's just not going to work.

Jonathon:

It's a little too risky too. You can go too deep occlude a blood vessel. Yeah. Cannula is the way to go.

Dr. Shah:

So yeah, I mean, this is, this is about fun, keeping this safe. And you know, for many of our patients, it's just like, Hey, I'm going to look better at, I'm gonna look better naked without clothes on. I'm going to look better. I'm going to perform better and look better erect. My partners should definitely see a difference...

Jonathon:

But feel a difference.
